Quick wateRcolor floral stuDy…

Sometimes I think it’s more about confidence then talent.  You sort of build this invisible muscle and one day you see more and more talent merge.  

I like to do a little floral study from time to time.  And it’s usually not for the outcome but to build that confidence muscle.  Most of what I create comes into play later.  This study was inspired by something I did months ago!  

 
You can start painting with watercolors with know knowledge and slowly watch that muscle develop.  A lot of times I notice a move with my brush that’s new and I like the result other times I don’t like it at all.  But that’s a part of it.  Separating the moves you make that you like from the ones you don’t also knowing how to pivot as youre painting.  One I’m still learning to do. 

Not sure if I want to be a teacher of watercolors but definitely one to explore and share my journey to understanding how to feel that confidence.  When you see it and like what you create that’s that muscle I speak of, and it becomes stronger the more you paint.  I’m still in the midst of it myself and I kind of like it here.

Wow! Everytime I come back to post I can’t believe how long it’s been! I’m like a kid in the corner with her pencils and paints trying not to have a care in the world when there is really so many overwhelming things going on. I manage by retreating into my art practice. If it wasn’t for that I’d be a complete mess. It’s the one thing that keeps me grounded. Everyone needs that one thing that keeps them grounded in this world knowing you’ll survive and everything will be ok! It’s easy to get pulled onto the madness of an ever changing world. But the fact that things are always changing is sometimes a lot to contend with.

I’ve just been doing what I do, trying things, hopefully falling into a style I can call my own. The journey is really where it’s at for me.

Thanks to anyone who still stops in to see if i have shared anything new! I appreciate that so much. Not sure where blogs are going these days but I guarantee I’ll always share my trials and errors over on Instagram and sometimes more over here on my blog. Finally sharing work I’ve been working on over this year since march.  I wanted to work simply, work steadily and work focused for a long time. 

I think I've created more work this year than I ever have and discovered more new things to jump from then I ever have

I wanted to see how my skills could fully develop overtime staying on one path.

I wanted to learn and discover my own path.

Be more intentional about my work.

For the most part I’ve discovered all this and more and continue to push and strive for more beauty and lots of fun and color in my work.

As I make my way over to update my blog and shop I’m always reminded of what art means to me. To create means to keep happiness around me as often as possible, through colors and words. You have to fill your world with everything that matters!!! Updates coming soon!

Everything’s changing

The title of this blog post may be a bit of an understatement but I’m sure it’s been a certain thing in different ways for everyone. Positivity is something you have to work at an keep at the top of our thoughts.

it has been a time for me to adjust my thoughts and learn and dabble in new things. There is definitely a lot of the words keep going!

Stoping in today after such a long break from my blog to share what I’ve been working on. Trying lots of new colors and floral designs hoping to get my shop updated one of these days.

LovelY Indigo florals

Hello hello, I thought it was about time I stop in for an update. With so much going on these days I’ve delayed updating my shop and basically just kept creating. I find that doing what I do every day is just therapeutic, hypnotic and relaxing. Like these blue pieces I’ve been creating, just working with one color to design floral bouquets. A lovely play ok shadows you sometimes see on a sunny day!

I’m such a perfectionist I find myself waiting for the right moment to share and update my shop. Finding photo studio space and styling are all a part of creating the perfect setting for how I want to share my artwork so very soon I will be getting things up to date here. Thanks to every one who has stopped by to see what’s new!
