Birdy…

Stopping in to share a cute little craft! I have tons of fun crafts on my Pinterest page and have only gotten around to trying a handful of them. I’ve been wanting to make these cute little bird hangers for awhile and when searching the clearance isle in michaels I find these little yellow birds.

Sometimes I don’t finish projects because it’s missing one element but everything came together for this fun project! What makes it so fun is it’s meant to be messy! No perfection needed!

I found a small little branch around the house to use as the little bird branch. Then wrapped the hanging wire with several different wires and string. I also added a few leaves. Little strips of fabric would be cute as well. I plan to make a few of these to hang in my craft room!

Have you ever tried any Pinterest crafts! It’s such a good source for anything these days!

Take care!

Botanical bliss…

Hello, thought I’d stop in to share a few colorful moments from this week! I’ve been creating just not with a paintbrush. I’ve been self taught in just about everything. And all of it comes from a love of color!

Just wanted to share some fun branding and color images I’ve been working on. This is always the part that I love. The brainstorming, creating a brand that has depth in some way, and keeping the joy, and spreading it to others! More to come soon!

New Joyaa Studio!

hello fellow creatives, it’s been awhile…again! I wanted to share some new things, new happenings and such. I know I said before I'd be changing things up a bit. Not too much though, this will still be a creative space that I share new things. artsy things, paper things and new jewelry things. I’ll be closing my shop soon and opening a new jewelry shop and digital designs shop. It’s so funny because way back in my early creative days I had a shop on Etsy selling simple jewelry designs. I loved those days because of the simplicity, everything and I mean everything was different. Even then I created colorful Swarovski designs although that wasn’t my focus, it just happened that way.

So here in a new chapter I’ve decided to create some new things. I love color so of course that has to be a focus. I’ll be updating from time to time with anything crafty or news about my launch. Until then if you would like email updates or news about the launch, which will be in a month or so, please subscribe to my email list. I’ll be sending out official dates and coupons. for the first customers!

Take care!

Hello there

hello there, thought I’d stop in to say a quick hello. Just when I thought blogs were dead i see that there are still a lot of visitors. Thanks to everyone for continuing to take a look even though I don’t post as much. I’m always a bit all over the place but that’s ok.. I really need to start a Facebook page for all the ones that can’t stick to a niche because that’s me, all me. I’ll always be a creater, been one since I could walk an hold a crayon. So it makes since to me sometimes but still a little frustrating because I see creators sticking to a niche and going further with their brands. I tinker with painting sometimes and then on a whim get back to making things like jewelry. I actually used to make bags once way back and was consumed with learning how to sew. I used that skill when becoming a scrapbooker. But here I am back to something I can’t seem to shake and that’s making jewelry!

For a time I have to give myself a break and truly absorb the things I have created. So with art I usually have to take a break for awhile. Lately i’ve pulled out my tools and started back make jewelry again.

Not to say that I’ve stopped making art, Just taking a small break. I Started a little something on the side and not to sell just yet just to challenge myself to see if I can create something new with a cohesive vibe. For anyone who follows me on instagram you may see a necklace or two pop in from time to time. Joyaa Studio, just an extension of another love that I have. I had a little shop on Etsy way way back, before all the newness that is now, and did pretty good! Now things are so different and I really hate taking the joy out of creating. So for all the folks that can’t seem to find a niche and stick to it like me, its ok. Just enjoy what you do!

Ebb and flow…

Welcome 2023! Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year! Maybe I’ll get a post up more often this year! I’ve been looking into my past projects hoping for inspiration, There’s always been such and ebb and flow to my artwork and crafting, never more since the last few years!

I took some time away from painting awhile back to attempt another craft, embroidery! I’m totally hooked on the outcome of these random stitches, of course I couldn’t stick to a format and just went ahead and freeformed designs.

I’ve gotten used to revisiting a different craft from time to time. It helps energize my soul and take breaks from something that might be frustrating me! I’m really feeling like actually completing a few embroidery projects I have going on. Like we all say “ if we just had more time”! I wish I had more time for it all…

Paper journals

It’s been awhile since I’ve done any crafting and lately I’ve been feeling the urge. There was a time when I created a gratitude journal every fall season so I’m using that as inspiration!

Most of my journals have always been a mish mash of collage, painted pages and cut outs! Not sure why I got out of the practice! It was always a fun way to fill time!

I started this new one by just painting a few pages with watercolors! Now the fun process of picking random papers, and adding so colorful fall photos! Be back to share soon!
